Head of Group Controlling (m/f/x)
Our client is a successful international and dynamic family business in the retail industry and has a very long tradition. The company has subsidiaries in over 70 countries and approximately 1.000 employees worldwide. It is continually growing and developing. Due to a promotion, our customer is looking for a new Head of Group Controlling. The sought person reports directly to the CFO in Austria and is responsible for the group-wide reporting, budgeting, prognostication and all Controlling activities. In this position you will be working closely with the board and central management. You will be collaborating with the Group CFO and regional subsidiaries and be reporting to the share- and stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include gathering, interpreting and previewing group performance for individual countries and will be in charge of business partnering. You will contribute to the further development of the group structure and processes and will be responsible for the financial data quality and the selection of suitable KPIs. You will be carrying out risk assessments and actively participating in the implementation of digital group solutions, especially the transformation to SAP S/4 Hana. Furthermore you will improve the interaction within the group-wide finance community, leading and developing members of the central controlling team and will be initiator of various projects.
For this position, you bring a MA degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field and have at least 10 years of professional experience in a similar position within Finance and Controlling. Ideally, you have experience in an international FMCG company or HORECA channel (hotels, restaurants, cafés). Our client requires a solid understanding of business principles and practices as well as strong analytical skills coupled with an extensive entrepreneurial view. You have SAP knowledge and had ideally touchpoints with transformation projects to SAP S/4 Hana. Furthermore, you have experience in using BI tools, Big Data analytics and also excellent MS Office skills (especially Excel) as well as financial planning software. Excellent written and verbal English skills are required for this position, German would be a plus. Additionally, you have a clear and concise communication style, leadership skills, excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills. Moreover, you are an independent, dynamic and flexible personality with “can do” attitued.
